Fire closes Wolfgang Puck steakhouse in Detroit MGM Grand Casino
DETROIT, MI — Detroit fire crews responded quickly and extinguished a fire in the duct work of the Wolfgang Puck Steakhouse in Detroit’s MGM Grand Casino about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, according to company spokeswoman Yvette Monet.
Monet, who is based in Las Vegas, said the fire appears to have ignited in the ventilation system connected to the restaurant’s kitchen. Employees were evacuated and the steakhouse remains closed, but the casino and hotel remained operating and open.
“Everything is business as usual,” Monet said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and its unclear when the restaurant will reopen.
