The fast food restaurant on Hardy Road was evacuated Wednesday morning. Passersby called it in because smoke was coming from the roof.

No one was hurt.

The fire is out now. Fire investigators determined that a grease fire started within the broiler/hood ventilation system, which was contained by the suppression system.

There’s no structural damage to the building.

Burger King is expected to be closed until Thursday so the kitchen can be cleaned.
