Rural Aid is one of Australia’s largest rural charities in Australia, a country which is being ravaged by the worst wildfires seen in decades.
Large swaths of the country have been devastated since the fire season began in late July 2019. Shepherd Filters supports (and relies on) Australian wool farmers, so in January, an announcement was made that $25 from each order made would be donated to Rural Aid.
Well known for the highly successful ‘Buy a Bale’ campaign, Rural Aid is an amazing charity that also provides tangible resources to drought, flood or fire-affected communities by way of stock feed, water, financial assistance, and volunteers.
We received an overwhelming amount of response to this campaign and thanks to our amazing customers, Shepherd Filters were able to make a substantial contribution to help support Australian farmers, the backbone of this great country.
Shepherd Filters managing director Jeremy Kronk knows all too well the damage a rampant fire can cause after a fire left him with 52% full-thickness burns to his body. After nearly two years of gruelling recovery, he now works to stop preventable fires from breaking out and ruining the lives of others.
